Sukkos Events

Sukkos Event Suggestions

1. Bingo in a Sukkah - Ask Jewish trivia questions in the middle to give a more Jewish touch.

2. Sukkah Mobile outside a popular venue.

3. Pizza in the Hut. everybody eats & you can do a craft like build an edible sukkah (like a gingerbread house)

There are many ways of keeping the Pizza hot (for example wrapped in heavy duty foil will keep it warm for over twenty minutes).

Unless you have a major dairy industrial oven, the Pizza in the H ut program will be good for 40/50 people. If you are having 150/200 people you want a SImchas Beis Hashoaiva, with a couple of musicians outside the Sukkah, while people go in and out of the Sukkah for buffet refreshments with some hot Knishes or Kugel.

Grand Sukkot Celebration

On DATE, TIME, MOSAD will be hosting a lively event complete with Jewish music, Kosher Sushi and a movie, in honor of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot and in solidarity with Jews throughout the world.  Many adults and children from the area will come together to enjoy and partake in this community wide celebration in honor this joyous Holiday.  Enjoy an assortment of kosher dishes, which everyone will enjoy in the largest Sukkah in the area.

Sukkot is a Biblical Holiday, which commemorates the protective clouds that surrounded the Jewish nation as they wandered in the desert.  In remembrance of that great miracle, we eat in a hut covered by bamboos or palm branches, for eight days. Jews also take four kinds of live vegetation; a citron, palm, willows and myrtle and bless then shake them together on each of the eight days.  “Eating together in a temporary hut signifies our trust in G-d and His constant protection over us.  Taking the four kinds together is reminiscent of bringing all types of Jews together as equals,” said SHLIACH. “This is also a great opportunity to meet new friends and just have a good ‘ole time.”
