Model Matzah Bake
Model Matzah Bakery - “Back to the Exodus”
interactive Model Matzah Bake show—a full experience that immerses participants in the pesach story before they actually make their own matzah. Below is an organized breakdown of the props and items needed for each act, Feel free to skip to the act you’re interested in!
The most common format involves showing the wheat stalks, milling them, making the dough, and then allowing each participant to make their own matzah.
The Recourses needed for the Model Matzah Bake show:
JewishYouthPrograms.com/shop/crafts/model-matzah-bakery – This site has everything needed for the show, though it can be on the more expensive side.
www.webstaurantstore.com – You can find all the necessary utensils here at a more affordable price.
Local Matzah Bakeries (NY area or nearby) – If you're in the CH area (or close to any matzah bakery), you might be able to get rolling pins and paper for the table for free, as they often throw them out.
Manual Grain Mill – The stone mills can be quite expensive, but an alternative could be a more budget-friendly manual grain mill.
Backdrops on Amazon –
There are ready-made backdrops available, such as:
Wheat
Wheat Stalks – Best ordered from JewishYouthPrograms.com for authentic wheat stalks with kernels (hard to find online with kernels).
Wheat Kernels – Available on Amazon.

You can get these with the Matzah Bakery logo from Shluchim selling websites.
Oven Considerations:
Portable Oven: A portable oven that plugs into a 110 outlet is needed to bake the matzah. However, these ovens can be expensive and may take a long time to bake the matzah, even with a stone placed at the bottom to speed things up. Additionally, portable ovens often trigger smoke alarms, so if you're using a venue’s kitchen, it’s best to let them manage the oven.
Toaster Oven: Some people opt for a high-quality toaster oven with a tile placed at the bottom, which helps to bake the matzah faster. Smaller commercial ovens, typically priced around $100, can also work well for this purpose.
Portable Stove Top: Another option is using a portable stove top to bake the matzah directly on it. Just be sure to tovel the stove top before use.
Additional Elements:
Kemach + Mayim Station
For a hands-on experience, you can set up a "Kemach + Mayim" station with a backdrop that could be purchased online (e.g., Sukkah Depot). You can also add booths or other themed props to enhance the experience.
